“Venice is the complex result of multiple intelligences,” declares “Intelligent Venice: The Oldest City of the Future,” a Special Project at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale by the Venice Sustainability Foundation (VSF). Installed at the Tesa dell’Isolotto on the Darsena Grande of the Arsenale, the project explores the different forms of intelligence that have made Venice a remarkable example of a city built on water, an artistic capital for centuries, and more recently, one of the most overtouristed cities in Europe, if not the world.
