Alberto Campo Baeza, a Madrid architect; and MAODA, an Ecuadorian office, were named the first place winners by Ecuador’s Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture in a competition to design the National Museum of Ecuador. Since the announcement, the competition results have been subject of an ongoing controversy taking hold of Quito.
