Christophe Rousset’s ‘Cublai’ resurrects the dead – Antonio Salieri’s cancelled opera lives to fight another day

Antonio Salieri’s “Cublai” (Aparté), is now avaailable in a premiere recording of its original Italian version. The opera might as easily have fallen off the cliff of time, had it not been for the efforts of conductor Christophe Rousset.
