After the August 2023 Lahaina wildfire, Hawaii turned to modular housing that could move at disaster pace without feeling disposable. DXA Studio\u2019s Liv-Connected delivered FEMA\u2019s first prefabricated, code-compliant temporary homes on Maui\u2014one-, two-, and three-bedroom units that meet UFAS, arrive fully furnished, and are designed to serve as interim or permanent housing. Health and comfort lead the spec: low-\/no-emitting materials, ample daylight, cross-ventilation, and high ceilings in compact footprints. Under the skin, the Conexus line\u2019s CLiC System standardizes structure and MEP while allowing plan and finish variation\u2014shrinking rework, smoothing supply risk, and speeding installs. Built at Fading West\u2019s Colorado plant, the homes traveled by truck and barge to Maui, where ProSet handled set\/installation and crews tied into permanent utilities within days. Marex coordinated logistics; Dynamic Group (prime) and Alpha Construction (local GC) rounded out delivery. The approach proves relief housing can be fast, dignified, and durable enough to seed neighborhoods.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
